Visa Types:

There are two types of visas; C visa and D visa. C visa is for a short period of time usually for upto 90 days whereas D visa allows you to stay for more than 90 days. Initially, you get a C visa to arrive in Malta and then you need to extend your visa after 45 days of your arrival.

The required documents for a Malta student visa vary depending on your nationality. However, you will generally need to provide the following documents:

  • A valid passport
  • A visa application form
  • Proof of financial support
  • Proof of acceptance to a university or college in Malta
  • A medical certificate
  • A police clearance certificate

  2. Visa Application GDPR form (please ensure to fill in your name, date, signature, and passport number)
  3. Recent passport-size photo
  4. Valid passport
  5. Bank statement for the last 6 months with a closing balance minimum of 7500 EUR, along with a scanned copy of the bank card
  6. Booked flight ticket to Malta or the first country of the Schengen area
  7. Proof of accommodation issued by the University
  8. Proof of original acceptance letter issued by the University
  9. Proof of tuition fee issued by the University
  10.   Schengen medical insurance valid for a year, covering at least 30,000 EUR for the Schengen Zone
  11.   Proof of sufficient language proficiency (if applicable)
  12.   Educational documents (Secondary School Certificate, Bachelor’s Degree with transcripts for PG students)

 

If the students stay will be sponsored, please also provide:



 

  1. A scanned copy of the sponsor’s bank card and passport or ID

  2. Sponsorship Letter

  3. Sponsor’s bank statement for the last 6 months with a closing balance minimum of 7500 EUR, corresponding to the bank card
